Q: What can I expect to spend on my wedding invitations?
A: The invitations You’re Invited carries are anywhere from $.80-$6 per invite. We have hundreds of wedding invitations ranging in variety, quality and pricing, so estimating an exact price can be difficult. Choosing an invitation ensemble with thicker cardstock or embellishments (such as pockets, bows, ribbon, beading, velum) will add to the price.
An average priced, simple, but elegant invitation is around $2.40 to $3.40 (often including invitation, inner envelope, outer envelope, reception card and response card). A more modern/non-traditional invitation (colored cardstock, thicker paper, pockets, ribbon and other embellishments) will cost around $4.00-$8.00 per invite. So, for 100, the price will average out to be $400-$800.
Majority of the product lines we carry are moderately priced, however, we do have some budget friendly (less than $2.00) and high end (greater than $8.00) lines as well.
As mentioned above, a typical invitation package often includes the invitation, inner envelopes, outer envelopes, reception cards and response cards with pre-printed return envelopes. Extras, like lining on the inner envelopes, a return address printed on the outer envelope back flap and direction/map/accommodation/website cards are highly recommend as well.
Q: How do I book a consultation? And, can I stop in anytime?
A: All consultations are by appointment only, as You’re Invited is a home-based studio. We will gladly set up a complimentary consultation at your convenience. Q: If I see an invitation on another website, is there a chance you have it?
A: Quite possibly! You’re Invited carries an immense selection of invitation lines. Please send a link or photo and I'll let you know ASAP.
Q: How long does it take for my invitations to be printed?
A: Majority of the items (invitations, save-the-dates, programs, menus, place cards, etc.) take approximately 2 weeks to be printed. Seating Boards take approx. 2-3 days.
Q: Will I receive a proof of my invitation?
A: Most definitely. After meeting and choosing your font style, ink color, wording, design and text justification, a complimentary digital proof (PDF file) will be emailed to you for review. Please check for correct spelling, names/dates/times/etc. If changes are requested, the proof will be revised and resent for approval at no charge. I want you to have the perfect invitation!
*Please note, digital proofs are intended to provide similar replicas of your invitation ensemble. Actual card size, colors and imprint may vary slightly. Errors found after printing will be the responsibility of the client.
Q: How soon before my wedding do I need to send out the invitations?
A: Anywhere from 6-8 weeks in advance is common. If you’re inviting many out-of-town guests, allow 8 weeks or more (better yet, send a Save-the-Date out prior!)
Q: How many extra invitations should I order:
A: Throughout the course of wedding planning, you will most likely discover that your guest list will continue to change. When determining your invitation count, keep in mind that you don't need an invitation for each person, but rather for each couple or family (children over age 18 receive their own invitation). Once you have a final count, I suggest that you add 10% to this total to determine the number of invitations to order.
Q: What method of payments do you accept?
A: Cash, check or credit card (MasterCard, VISA and Discover).
Q: Do I pay a deposit prior to ordering?
A: Yes, upon acceptance of a price quote, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to receive your invitation proof(s) and print your ensemble. The remaining 50% balance is due upon receipt of your invitations.
Q: Will Sales Tax be added?
A: All orders picked up or delivered within the state of Ohio will be subject to Sales Tax of 6.75%.
Q: Do I pay for shipping?
A: Orders that are shipped are subject to shipping fees.
